What is a Pelargonium Plant?

A pelargonium plant is a member of the family Geraniaceae and originates from South Africa.

It has thick stems that grow upright or trail across the ground, depending on the variety.

The leaves are semi-succulent and come in various shapes such as round or lobed.

The flowers of pelargonium plants come in an array of colors including pink, red, white, purple, and orange.

They bloom throughout spring and summer but can continue to flower sporadically throughout autumn if cared for properly.
